Mohamed Salah is expected to leave Liverpool next summer, with the Egyptian international’s contract due to expire at the end of the season.
The 32-year-old winger is one of three superstar players at Liverpool who could leave for nothing next summer, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk also in a similar position as Salah in regards to their contract.
With Salah recently posting a cryptic message on his Liverpool future, there’s a real chance that this season could be the former AS Roma star’s last in the Premier League having become a legend at Anfield.
And a move to Saudi Arabia could now be in the works ahead of schedule due to a new FIFA rule.

Al-Hilal could sign Salah early due to the FIFA Club World Cup
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Al-Hilal are interested in signing Salah and could bring in the winger early due to their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, where participating teams can make transfers before the window actually opens.
With Al-Hilal competing in the United States next summer against the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid, there’s good reason why the Saudi Arabian side want Salah in as early as possible, and this move could well be happening.

Jacobs said when asked about Salah’s proposed move to Saudi Arabia; “2025 is the target. Al-Hilal is the club. The Saudi football federation will be taking FIFA up on this so-called ‘exceptional window’ ahead of the Club World Cup.
“So, they could in theory try and sign Salah between June 1 and 10, which means they’re looking at him for not just the Saudi Pro League but for the Club World Cup.”

Salah leaving Liverpool early makes little difference for the Reds
With Liverpool not taking part in the Club World Cup and their season coming to an end on May 31st if they make it to the UEFA Champions League final, Al-Hilal’s early move for Salah will make little difference for the Reds.
Yet even with Liverpool’s season being over by the time the Club World Cup comes around, there will still be a sense of sadness if Salah does sign for Al-Hilal in seeing the winger play for his new team so soon after this campaign is over.
Indeed, Salah will be remembered as one of Liverpool’s greatest ever players, and seeing the forward move on so quickly from Anfield will sting for many fans as well as inside figures at Anfield next summer.
