Liverpool lead Chelsea and Manchester United in the transfer race for Omar Marmoush
Chelsea and Manchester United are trailing Liverpool in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush. That is according to Bild, which reports that the 25-year-old could be allowed to leave Die Adler for £50m in 2025 after an electric start to the Bundesliga season.
Marmoush has marvelled in Germany’s top-flight and the Europa League so far this term to bag 12 goals and nine assists from 14 appearances in all competitions. He has also hit home 11 goals and created six while playing through the centre with the rest coming from the left.

Only Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane with 11 goals and seven assists currently leads Marmoush with 10 and six of each in the Bundesliga’s charts. But no player leads the Egypt star for goal contributions, with Marmoush’s 10 marking 43% of Eintracht Frankfurt’s 23 so far this term.

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah is ‘open’ to a free transfer to FC Barcelona
Liverpool increasingly face a tough task to convince Mohamed Salah to sign a new contract, and that task has just got even harder as he is ‘open’ to a free transfer to FC Barcelona. That is according to Sport, which reports that the Egyptian forward is prepared to listen to offers.
Salah’s current contract expires on June 30, despite the best efforts by the Anfield natives to agree on new terms. Barcelona are now fully aware of his situation on Merseyside and open stance on a move away. But the Saudi Pro League is going ‘all out’ to get Salah next summer.
Camp Nou chiefs are now considering if Barcelona should also target Salah’s free transfer as their previous efforts to sign him in 2021 proved impossible due to the forward’s salary with Liverpool. His nine goals and nine assists in 16 games this term may get Barca in the race.

Jamie Carragher is ‘worried’ Trent Alexander-Arnold will join Real Madrid
Reds hero Jamie Carragher has admitted he and most Liverpool fans are ‘worried’ that Trent Alexander-Arnold will reject signing a new contract to join Real Madrid in a free transfer. The 26-year-old is set to be a free agent on July 1, 2025 and Los Blancos are courting his arrival.
Liverpool even face losing Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk in free transfers on July 1. But their futures do not concern Carragher as much as Alexander-Arnold as he expects they will agree new terms. He cannot see the 32 and 33-year-olds finding a better home than Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold has won each major honour in the game since graduating from Liverpool’s academy except for individual prizes like his dream of winning the Ballon d’Or. So, Carragher feels a move to Spain may be on the cards, especially after 32-year-old Dani Carvajal’s injury.
Carragher said on the BBC’s Football Daily: “I’m pretty confident that the two older lads will sign, because I think they’re probably at the stage of their career now where it’s difficult to move to a club better than Liverpool for those two…
“Trent, he’s in a different situation and that’s probably the one most people are now worried about, with the situation with Real Madrid obviously being interested.
“But also the fact that [Dani] Carvajal has just done his ACL. So, they are obviously desperate for a right-back as well for the next probably 18 months.”
