Arne Slot in awe by ‘special’ Mohamed Salah moment during Liverpool’s win vs Brighton

Liverpool secured a massive win in the Premier League after coming back from behind to win 2-1 against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Cody Gakpo put the Reds level before Mohamed Salah fired Liverpool ahead with a spectacular effort to secure all three points on a Premier League matchweek where both Arsenal and Manchester City both lost away from home.

With Daniel Sturridge in awe with Salah’s goal for Liverpool, the £34m attacker was again in inspired form for the Anfield side, with the Egyptian international again showing why he’s one of the best forwards in the world.

And Arne Slot was also taken aback by what Salah did against Brighton.

Slot lauds ‘special’ Salah goal for Liverpool vs Brighton

Speaking to the press after the win, the Dutch manager shared how amazed he was by Salah’s goal, a strike that was one of real quality and importance with Liverpool going on to win the match because of the winger’s brilliance.

With Chris Sutton also blown away by Salah, it was a truly magical moment from the former AS Roma star, who put Liverpool back on top of the Premier League and firmly in the driving seat for the title.

And Slot was pleased with what he saw from Salah, with the Liverpool manager praising the attacker whilst also noting how his second-half substitutions changed the game for the Merseyside giants against Brighton.

Slot said “I was waiting for us to score the goal but we didn’t, that’s why I made the substitutions. Both of them came on really strong. You can say it’s a bit of luck, but the goalkeeper cannot react. The second goal was a Mo Salah special. It’s not the first and not the last time he will score from that position.”

Salah is looking unstoppable for Liverpool this season

Liverpool have looked refreshed and re-energised under Slot this season, and Salah’s form has been key to the Dutch manager starting the new campaign as strongly as he has at Anfield.
