Joe Gomez could force a transfer out of Liverpool if Arne Slot continues to snub him
England defender Joe Gomez is already considering forcing a transfer away from Liverpool in the January window if head coach Arne Slot continues to overlook him. That is according to TalkSPORT, which reports that while it is unlikely Gomez leaves this week he may in January.
Gomez has attracted interest in his signature from several sides this summer but is expected to offer Slot defensive depth in the Dutchman’s debut season at Anfield. But the 23-year-old will not be satisfied with spending his term on the bench having already considering leaving.
Slot omitted Gomez from his first competitive squad in charge of Liverpool as they won 2-0 at Ipswich Town. But while the coach recalled the centre-half to his bench against Brentford, Gomez failed to feature and he played just 1,776 minutes in the Premier League last season.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia reacts to Liverpool signing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia
SSC Napoli forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has reacted with a two-word post on Instagram to Liverpool signing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia. The goalkeeper put pen to paper this Tuesday night with a deal that will see him move to Merseyside after the 2024/25 campaign.
Liverpool have paid Los Che an initial £25m, plus a further £4m in add-ons, and agreed to let Mamardashvili stay at Valencia for another season. Anfield chiefs decided to push through a deal to ensure they are future-proofed between their sticks with Alisson Becker’s successor.
His strong showing at Euro 2024 as Georgia made the round of 16 pushed Liverpool over the edge to finalise his transfer from Valencia. Now, Napoli’s Georgia forward Kvaratskhelia has messaged the shot-stopper ‘good luck’ after seeing Mamardashvili seal a move to Liverpool.
Kvaratskhelia messaged Mamardashvili about his transfer to Liverpool with a post on the 23-year-old’s Instagram stories. The pair have developed a rapport over recent years in Georgia camps, having first represented their country together at the senior level back in June 2022.

Arne Slot surprised Stefan Bajcetic by sanctioning a transfer away from Liverpool
New Liverpool boss Arne Slot has surprised Stefan Bajcetic after permitting RB Salzburg to sign the midfielder gem on loan. That is according to Graeme Bailey, who has exclusively told Rousing The Kop that figures behind the scenes at Anfield were also surprised by the move.
Bajcetic is very popular at Liverpool and the club fended off interest from Real Sociedad this summer. Many figures at the Reds also expected Slot would lean heavily on the Spaniard for their engine room. Yet he is set to reunite with former assistant coach Pep Lijnders instead.
The 19-year-old still has a future on Merseyside with Liverpool only sanctioning a loan deal, right now. Lijnders taking over RB Salzburg after leaving Anfield alongside Jurgen Klopp this summer has also helped to seal Bajcetic’s switch after he played just 97 minutes last season.
