Liverpool have lots of business left to sort in the final days of the summer transfer window.
The Reds have left it late to make any new signings but could also be in the market to offload a couple of players, too.
A number of academy players look likely to leave on loan, with reports that Owen Beck is close to joining Blackburn Rovers.
Beck’s departure will mean that Liverpool are down to just two left-backs in the first-team squad, with Luke Chambers previously leaving for Wigan.
Despite the thinning numbers, though, rumours have continued to rumble that Kostas Tsimikas could leave before Friday’s deadline.

Clarity given on Kostas Tsimikas future
Tsimikas played a relatively big part in pre-season for Arne Slot. With Andy Robertson injured, the 28-year-old was Slot’s first choice left-back.
However, once the season started, and Robertson’s fitness restored, Tsimikas has once again been demoted to back-up.
This has been the case throughout the Greek’s Liverpool career and is by now something Kostas himself will be used to.
Nevertheless, now in his prime as a player, there had been suggestions from as far back as June that Tsimikas could be surplus to requirements and may look for more regular first-team football.

With September on the way, though, that has yet to come to any kind of fruition.
And according to Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos, it is unlikely to anytime soon. Taking to X on Monday afternoon, Chorianopolous claimed that there is ‘no sign’ that an exit for Tsimikas is imminent.
“There is no sign that Kostas Tsimikas will leave Liverpool,” writes the reporter. And that would appear to be that.
Liverpool to resolve left-back issue in 2025
It’s good news that Tsimikas is set to stick around at Liverpool for a little while longer. The former Olympiacos defender is an excellent second choice to Robertson.
However, with Robbo set to turn 31 before the end of the season, the Reds do need to start planning ahead at left-back.
There is a chance that either Beck or Chambers can step up. Both should be watched closely in case of a Conor Bradley style acceleration in quality this season.
However, it feels more likely that Liverpool will have to fill their needs in the transfer market. With that in mind, we’d peg Wolves left-back Rayan Ait Nouri as one to watch.
Liverpool have been linked continuously with Ait Nouri and the Algerian would look like a superb heir to Robertson. In the meantime, though, the Scotland captain and Liverpool’s ‘Scouse Greek’ will do for us.
