Liverpool are now two wins from two in the new Premier League season after back-to-back 2-0 victories.
Arne Slot showed his attacking side in the opening day win against Ipswich, before following that up with a home win against Brentford.
Mohamed Salah shone at Ipswich as he once again netted in the first game of the new season, with the winger adding to his tally against the Bees.
His fellow attackers Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz scored the others against Ipswich and Brentford respectively to give Liverpool six points from six.
The Colombian turned provider for Salah against the Bees after his opener, with the Portuguese star having provided the assist for Diaz’s strike.

Jamie Carragher praises Diogo Jota before Liverpool beat Brentford
And it was the Portuguese attacker who was heavily praised by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher in the build-up to the Brentford match.
Speaking on Sky Sports Premier League (4.07pm, 25 August), Carragher said of Jota: “When you actually look at his goals to minutes ratio, he’s right up there with the best in the Premier League era with Liverpool.

“You think of some of the strikers Liverpool have had in that time; Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen, Fernando Torres, Luis Suarez, Mo Salah as well. So it shows the company that he’s keeping.
“You think of Liverpool spending big money on Darwin Nunez, at the moment he’s on the bench. But you think of what happened at Ipswich, he gave them a chance. Initially, he missed a header that more often than not he would normally score. The second chance he scores, and that’s what Jota is about.
“You give him a chance, more often than not he finishes. And he scores every type of goal. Fantastic in the air, can score with both feet, hence why he’s got such a great record.”
Diogo Jota proves his worth to Liverpool once again
Sadly Jota’s time at Liverpool has been impacted by various injuries, but when fit he has proven himself to be one of the best finisher’s the club has ever had.
Having been signed by Jurgen Klopp from Wolves for £41million in 2020, the attacker has become a huge hit at Anfield, just like icons such as Torres and Suarez.

Jota boasts 57 goals from his 146 Liverpool appearances, with 19 assists also going his way, but there is, of course, so much more to his game.
He has linked up with his fellow attackers superbly over recent seasons, while his fight and determination also goes a long way when the going gets tough.
Staying fit will now be high on his list of aims under Slot, as will continuing to score and create goals across all competitions.
