Liverpool still have a few days to make their first signing of the summer transfer window.
Remarkably, the Reds have sat through three months or so since the end of last season without dipping into the market at all.
Despite seeing Arne Slot take over from Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool have so far not seen fit to boost the options available to the new head coach.
As the summer ticks into its final week, though, there is still room for some movement. There have been claims that Liverpool could move to sign Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and that would be an incredibly exciting addition.
Kvaratskhelia looks difficult to get out of Napoli, mind you. So, it has now been reported that Liverpool could target a Premier League attacker in the final days of the window instead.

Crystal Palace ready themselves for Eberechi Eze bid
There are positions that Liverpool could do with targeting instead of a new forward. Midfield is still an issue, while the Reds’ are looking a little light in defence, too.
Friday brought news that Jarell Quansah has picked up an injury and the 21-year-old’s absence leaves Slot with just three senior centre-halves.
Nevertheless, it has been claimed for a while now that Liverpool are looking to bolster their attacking options if they get the opportunity to.
Anthony Gordon had been targeted but in truth that looks more like one for next year.
One that could still be worth keeping an eye on, though, is Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze. According to The Independent’s ‘Reading the Game’ newsletter, Eze might still be on the move.

They claim that Palace are ‘bracing themselves’ for late interest in the 26-year-old.
Liverpool are named as one of two teams who could come in for Eze, with the other being champions Manchester City.
However, it is also said that the feeling that Eze could leave has been surrounding Palace for ‘weeks,’ with Arsenal another side reportedly in the mix.
The Gunners are claimed to have been put off by Palace’s asking price, though, with some other clubs said to regard Eze’s price-tag as ‘crazy,’ too.
Should Liverpool move or Eze?
Liverpool were linked with Eze earlier on this summer. However, it always felt as though the Reds were not ever concretely preparing to move.
The England international would obviously be a decent addition. Palace teammate Joel Ward called Eze ‘mesmerising‘ for his ability to ‘manipulate the ball and glide over the pitch.’
But in terms of fee, if other clubs have been scared away, then there’s little reason to expect Liverpool won’t feel the same way.
You can understand why Palace would be wary. They have lost Michael Olise and Joachim Andersen this summer, while Marc Guehi could still leave as well. Selling Eze on top of that would be a massive blow.
At least where Liverpool are concerned, however, we think they can probably rest easy.
