Liverpool have been extremely quiet in the summer transfer window under new manager Arne Slot and new sporting director Richard Hughes.
Slot is ready to sell five Liverpool players before the window closes, with the Dutchman keen to finalise his squad for the season.
He has been allowing several unwanted players to move on, with Fabio Carvalho’s £27million transfer to Brentford the most significant.
Slot did begin his Liverpool tenure with all three points against Ipswich on the opening day of the season, but he could still add to his group in the coming days.
For now, however, summer transfer window exits have seemingly been the Merseyside club’s primary concern.

Harvey Elliot and Stefan Bajcetic say farewell to Bobby Clark
The latest to leave Anfield is young midfielder Bobby Clark, who has joined Pep Lijnders at Red Bull Salzburg.
Clark has left Liverpool after three years at the club, having arrived from Newcastle United in August 2021.

Sharing highlights of his time at Anfield, Clark wrote on Instagram: “After an incredible 3 years at Liverpool, I’ve decided it’s time for a new challenge.
“I’ve learned so much during my time at the club and am very thankful for the opportunities and experiences I’ve had. Thank you to all the fans who supported me on this journey.”
Among the many Reds players commenting were Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic, who wrote “Good luck ma bro” and “Good luck brother” respectively.

Arne Slot will miss Bobby Clark at Liverpool
Clark obviously wasn’t in Slot’s plans, but he certainly has a bright future ahead of him, which sadly won’t be on Merseyside.
He would have been battling it out with the more senior Liverpool midfielders this season, along with a handful of other youngsters.

Joe Cole labelled Clark ‘fantastic’, with the player certainly living up to his reputation during his brief spell in the first team.
Fans are undoubtedly upset that Slot has sold one of the club’s top talents, who could have been a key squad player this season given that Liverpool will have plans to succeed across many different competitions.
At the same time, however, the teenage midfielder clearly wants regular minutes, which he should get under Lijnders in Austria.
The former Liverpool assistant is doing an impressive job at RB Salzburg so far, but his side should get even better with the addition of Clark.
