Arne Slot has only been in charge of Liverpool for a few months, yet there has already been a noticeable shift in how the Reds are operating and playing under the Dutchman.
Kostas Tsimikas recently revealed that Liverpool’s players have confidence under Slot, whilst results this pre-season have suggested that the Anfield side could be an outside favourite for the Premier League title after good wins against Arsenal and Manchester United.
With Liverpool also working on signing Martin Zubimendi, new additions could help the Reds in a big way ahead of the new season, with Fabio Carvalho’s sale to Brentford also an impressive piece of business in the market.
And Slot’s training sessions have seemingly been summarised by two words from those in the know.

According to the Athletic, Slot’s training sessions have been summarised by those who know the Dutchman as ‘intense’ and ‘demanding’, with Jamie Carragher making a similar observation about the Liverpool boss.
With former manager Jurgen Klopp known for pushing his players to the limit physically with an intense pressing style of football, Slot is seemingly keeping on this tradition in Liverpool’s training sessions.
Indeed, whilst there’s a big emphasis on passing and retaining the ball, Liverpool keeping hold of the lessons learnt from Klopp in terms of pressing will be key in the Reds competing for the Premier League title next season.
And with the Reds looking sharp this summer, it appears that Slot’s training is paying off big time, with the Anfield side in good form ahead of their Premier League opener against Ipswich Town on Saturday.

Capping off pre-season with an emphatic 4-1 win against Sevilla, Liverpool are in good form heading into the new Premier League campaign, and Slot deserves a lot of credit for what he’s done this summer.
Replacing Klopp was always going to be an impossible job for whoever came in, yet Slot has made that task look easy with his training methods and the direction Liverpool’s style of play is going in.
And with so much going right for Liverpool in training and in friendlies, the Reds look as prepared as possible for the new year, with signings the next thing Slot and his team need to tackle this summer.
