Liverpool’s transfer market looks set to get a whole lot more interesting in the next few weeks.
It has so far been perhaps the quietest window on record for the Reds, but they look likely to do plenty of business between now and August the 30th.
Journalist James Pearce has declared that transfers will definitely happen for Liverpool in that timeframe, but it’s also true that there could be some outgoings at Anfield, too.
Over the past few days, rumours have started to appear that Arne Slot could be keen on selling a few members of his Liverpool squad.
Wataru Endo is up for sale while a decision will need to be made on a number of the young players currently out on tour.
Jarell Quansah going nowhere
The Liverpool owners have often relied on making sales before bringing any significant signings into the team.
While that is not a bad way of doing things at all, it does mean that things have been delayed this year. With Slot wanting to get a good look at everybody, no one has really left.
Once the Reds touch down back in Merseyside next week, it seems virtually certain that that will change.
It has been claimed that Sepp van den Berg is ‘very likely’ to leave Liverpool, while Joe Gomez’s future is up in the air following the botched deal that was agreed to sell him to Newcastle.

The flipside to that was that Anthony Gordon was supposed to arrive at Liverpool. Newcastle wanted Gomez and around £30m to sell the flying winger.
The Reds’ defender was not the first player the Magpies tried to land in exchange, though, initially they asked about the possibility of signing Jarell Quansah.
That was rejected out of hand by Liverpool, with The Daily Mail now reiterating that Quansah is ‘going nowhere’ during this summer.
Jurgen Klopp is said to have been ‘pleasantly surprised’ by the 21-year-old last season, with Arne Slot now reportedly ‘excited’ about the prospect of developing the centre-back further.

Liverpool would have been foolish to have agreed to Newcastle’s demands of Quansah and a bag full of cash in exchange for Gordon.
The 23-year-old is a good player and perhaps he will still join the Reds, but Quansah has the potential to be just as valuable.
The academy graduate had a stunning season in 2023/24 and has carried that form into the summer.
Liverpool fans raved about Quansah following his performance against Arsenal on Thursday. Former Red Gary McAllister labelled Quansah as ‘top draw‘ after pulling off a stunning block to deny the Gunners.
It’s clear that the youngster is set for another big season ahead at Anfield. Who knows, he could even cement his place as Virgil van Dijk’s first-choice partner. Quansah will be at Liverpool for years to come.
