‘The worst one’… Darwin Nunez says £45m Liverpool player has horrendous fashion sense

Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz are both in agreement over who has the best fashion sense at Liverpool.

By now, we’re well used to seeing members of the Reds squad in some, shall we say, interesting clobber. Ibrahima Konate has earned the praise of his teammates in the recent past, while Trent Alexander-Arnold was recently spotted donning some Dolce & Gabbana in Milan.

So, we’re sure that when Nunez and Diaz were asked to name the best dressed at Liverpool during The Friendship Test on the Premier League’s website today, their Reds colleagues will have been intrigued to hear the answer.

Well, as it turns out, it’s very good news for Curtis Jones, but less so for poor Diogo Jota.

“Curtis,” answered Nunez, relatively quickly. “I do think Curtis dresses well,” agreed Diaz.

“He dresses well. The worst one is Diogo Jota!” Darwin continued, with a mischievous smile. “No, no, no!” laughed a tickled Lucho.

There were a few more interesting revelations from Nunez and Diaz’s little video today.

What’s clear is that the two have a very good relationship. Despite only playing at Liverpool together for 18 months or so, the South Americans appear to be close.

One nice moment came when the pair were asked to name Diaz’s best quality as a person.

Both writing ‘humble,’ they obviously know each other pretty well.

We also got an insight into how Nunez and Diaz’s English lessons are going. Ever since arriving in England, Nunez’s issues with the language have been well documented. Meanwhile, Lucho doesn’t seem to have made much headway in that regard either.

It was interesting to note that both players picked the Colombian as having the best English language, though. Unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be a very high bar.

We also learnt that Diaz’s childhood footballing hero was Ronaldinho. Given the way our No.7 plays – with a smile on his face – that isn’t a great surprise.

Nice to hear from two players who we don’t often tend to see too much of away from the pitch. Just don’t let Diogo see this…
