Liverpool have been busy on the loan transfer activity front. From several recalls, to sending out several players on loan as well.
The biggest merry-go-round so far at the club has happened with the recall of Owen Beck from Dundee Football Club. With Beck returning to the club, it freed up a space for Luke Chambers to go out on loan.
Chambers subsequently joined Wigan Athletic in League One in a move that Liverpool will hope will help him elevate his game – just as Jarell Quansah’s loan spell at Bristol Rovers helped him.
And based on his debut – Chambers is already off to an excellent start.

Praise for Luke Chambers
At the weekend, just days after joining the club, Luke Chambers immediately went into the starting line-up for Wigan.
Playing as a left-sided centre-back in a back three, Chambers caught the eye making the most tackles (3) on the pitch and winning five out of his six duels, while also making eight recoveries.
Speaking after the game, Wigan boss Shaun Maloney admitted he was impressed by the Liverpool loanee’s performance. Especially, as initially, he wasn’t even supposed to start.
“Yeah he did incredible,” Maloney told the club’s official channel.
“He wasn’t due to start. I wanted to almost give him the first seven to ten days to get used to us but with Liam getting injured, Luke Robinson being ill and Lang, obviously he’s got a small calf issue, we just had to play him. I think he did really well, considering it was his debut, played once – I’m very happy with him. I think he will get better as well.”
