Bolton Wanderers forward Dion Charles has raved about young Liverpool right-back Conor Bradley.
Bradley has been unlucky so far this season, injury meaning he is yet to feature for Liverpool at all. But having excelled out on-loan at Bolton last year, big things are still expected of him.
One of his teammates at the League One side was Charles, who has been raving about the 20-year-old to BBC Sport.
“Conor is incredible, he can go as far as he wants,” said the Bolton man. “That kid has everything, he’s intelligent, such a good player.
“The biggest thing about his mentality is he wants to learn, he wants to get better, so when he’s back fit it will be interesting to see not if, but when, he gets in the Liverpool team.
“The type of character Conor is, he’ll be with him [Alexander-Arnold] every single day, brushing shoulders with them, so it’s only going to make him better for the future. When Conor first came to Bolton he hadn’t played much senior football and he played like a 30-year-old. He plays like someone so experienced – Conor is incredible.”
Bradley backed for Liverpool impact
Considering that Charles is also a teammate of Bradley’s from the Northern Ireland national team, he knows him pretty well.
Having seen the youngster’s work up-close for both club and country, his insight is worth listening to.
And it all paints the picture of a young player who’s more than ready to stake his claim in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
It’s so unfortunate that Bradley hasn’t had the chance to try and prove the likes of Charles right just yet. He looked good in pre-season and was primed to play the role of understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

There’s no question that had he been fit, the Northern Ireland international would have been given ample minutes in the Europa League and Carabao Cup so far.
The focus has to be on making sure he returns at full strength and not too early, though. As we’ve seen with another young right-back – Calvin Ramsay – being rushed back can only lead to more problems for young players.
There’s no use Conor returning ahead of schedule and immediately needing more time off again.
Nevertheless, you get the feeling that Charles will be on the money here. It surely is only a matter of getting fit before we see Bradley turn out for Liverpool. After so much praise over the past 12 months, let’s see if he can make good on it.
