Liverpool talent Conor Bradley was last night announced as Bolton Wanderers Player of the Season after a fantastic year with the League One giants.
As per the club’s official website, the 19-year-old fullback swept Bolton’s awards evening as Bradley was voted Player’s Player of the Season as well as Wanderers’ Young Player of the Season, with the Liverpool loanee also taking the big prize of the night.
Bradley said on his awards: “It’s been a fantastic year and one I’ve really enjoyed. I’m thankful to everyone at the club for the support they’ve given me. To win these awards is very special and a massive honour. It’s really nice to be voted for by your team-mates, as they’re the ones who see the hard work you put in, and also from the fans.”
With the Athletic recently reporting that Jurgen Klopp wants to use the Northern Ireland international in pre-season, Bradley’s career could soon be ready to take off after a sensational year at Bolton, a campaign that could result in the defender winning promotion to the Championship.
Indeed, Bradley has already won the EFL Trophy with Ian Evatt’s side this campaign, and with Bolton now confirmed for the League One play-offs, the Liverpool talent could increase his stock even further by pushing the North West side to the English second-tier.
Bradley’s success with Bolton must lead to Liverpool first-team promotion
Bradley’s year out on loan with Bolton has been nothing short of a success, with the youngster becoming a cult hero at the University of Bolton Stadium, a status that could become immortalised if the talented defender can help win promotion to the Championship in the coming weeks.
And for Liverpool, the Reds will be doing Bradley a disservice by not promoting him to the senior team, with the fullback showing this season that he is ready for the leap up and to act as an understudy for the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
