Liverpool coaches are excited at the prospect of running the rule over Conor Bradley this pre-season.

Bradley had an excellent season on-loan at Bolton Wanderers last year, scooping the League One side’s Player of the Year award.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool themselves were ‘delighted’ with the 19-year-old’s spell in Lancashire. The Reds reportedly ‘kept a close eye’ on Bradley throughout the campaign, and were thrilled by what they saw.

As a result, Liverpool coaches are said to be truly excited at the potential of the Northern Ireland international.

It’s claimed that Jurgen Klopp is intending to give Bradley the chance to start to fulfil that potential over the coming weeks.

With Calvin Ramsay already out on loan at Preston North End, there’s an opportunity for the teenager to stake his claim.

Bradley set for pre-season chance

This has the feeling of being a really big pre-season for Bradley. After a fantastic year with Bolton, it’s crucial that he kicks on again now.

Turning 20 this Sunday, it could perhaps be crunch time for the Northern Irishman at Liverpool.

If he can do well this summer, there’s every chance he plays a big role for the first team next season. There is a spot open as Trent Alexander-Arnold’s understudy. With Europa League football on the menu, that would mean a certain amount of game time.

But if he fails to catch Klopp’s eye enough, there’s every chance he heads back out on-loan. Of course, that wouldn’t mean the end for him at Anfield. If he can get a Championship or Premier League loan and do well, he’d be well-placed to go again next year.

Owing to the spot open in the team though and the excitement around him, that would feel like an opportunity missed.

Given the way he grasped the nettle at Bolton, we’re backing Bradley not to pass this chance up. Every time he’s worn a Liverpool shirt up until now, it’s been easy to see the potential he has.

Spending more time in and around the first team coaches and Klopp will hopefully hone that potential into something special. Big things are expected of Conor, let’s hope he’s about to show exactly why.
