Liverpool youngster Trey Nyoni has been praised, after scoring a lovely goal earlier today.
Nyoni was on the scoresheet for the third time in three games for the Liverpool U18s. A perfect start to life for the midfielder following his summer move from Leicester City.
Thankfully, the cameras were there to capture the goal, Liverpool sharing it on their official Twitter page this afternoon.

It’s a top strike from Nyoni, who hangs outside the box from a Reds corner, pummelling the ball into the net with his left foot once it comes out to him.
It was the kind of goal befitting of the reputation Nyoni was signed with. And commentating on it, former LFC Women’s striker Natasha Dowie said she wasn’t surprised at all to see the 16-year-old’s quality.
“I can’t say enough about this player to be honest,” said the 35-year-old. “I see him in training, he’s just different class, he really is.
“Everything he does he makes looks so easy and that finish is not easy. That’s a half-volley hit so cleanly.”
Nyoni continues impressive start
It would be wrong to build up the hype and put too much pressure on Nyoni. But the truth is that he’s had an exceptional start at Liverpool.
Billed as one of the best midfielders of his generation when signing, three goals in three games since has underlined that.
Nyoni has also already turned out for Liverpool’s U21 side. As a 16-year-old, that’s no mean feat.

With fellow summer signing Amara Nallo also impressing and Trent Kone-Doherty – who scored a hat-trick in today’s game – on fire, Liverpool have some top prospects in their ranks right now.
As the rise of Ben Doak showed last year, Jurgen Klopp isn’t averse to plucking them to use in the first-team.
For Nyoni, that would still feel like being some time away, especially given the quality of Liverpool’s midfield right now.
But that’s where his aims should be in the future. He looks to have the quality to do it.
