Chelsea may come back with another bid for Moises Caicedo, despite Liverpool agreeing a fee with Brighton.
The Reds have seemingly won the race to sign the Ecuadorian, having made an enormous £110m offer last night. With a medical scheduled today, things are moving quickly.
But according to The Guardian, that may not stop Chelsea from coming in again. Now notorious for not quite knowing when to quit in the transfer market, it’s claimed that sources have ‘not ruled out’ the Blues bidding once more.

Clearly, any new offer would have to be bigger than Liverpool’s £110m. With this in mind, it’s suggested that Chelsea might still try something.
They’ll have to be quick, though. The Reds are reportedly aiming to tie up personal terms and a medical for Caicedo on Friday.

Chelsea weighing up final Caicedo bid
You can’t blame Chelsea for this. They’ve been trying all summer to get a deal done with Brighton for Caicedo.
Having ultimately seen three bids rejected for the 21-year-old, they must be stinging this morning.
As we’ve seen numerous times over the past year, they’re absolutely not afraid to go big in the market. Quite how they could have a two-man £100m+ midfield in Enzo Fernandez and Caicedo is another matter. But they seem willing and able.

As a result, Liverpool need to move as quickly as they possibly can to get Moises ready and signed.
The Ecuador international himself had seemingly been keen to move to Chelsea up until last night. Clearly, that may have changed – especially after Jurgen Klopp speaks to him this morning – but it also may not have.
Just because Brighton have sold to the highest bidder, it doesn’t mean the player has to like it.
So, there is a very real threat of Chelsea hijacking the hijacking. If they do go above Liverpool’s £110m, there seems no way that the Reds will match or better it. Time is of the essence, Reds. Let’s get this done.
