Liverpool may have to lower their asking price in order to ensure the sale of Nat Phillips this summer.
Phillips once again looks likely to be at a different club next season, with reports that the centre-back has ‘concrete possibilities’ to leave the Reds.
According to the Liverpool Echo, those possibilities currently amount to Leeds United and Feyenoord.

It’s claimed that although both clubs would like to sign Phillips, Liverpool are currently asking for too much money.
The Reds are reportedly happy to let the 26-year-old leave for around £10m. However, it’s claimed that they may have to lower this expectation in order for Phillips to be sold.
Nevertheless, the former Bolton man is still said to be ‘expected’ to find himself a new club this summer.
Liverpool looking for Phillips solution
Two things are at play simultaneously here. Firstly, Liverpool are obviously trying to find a buyer for Phillips. It’s about time he was able to move on and it looks like he has two good options on the table there.
Secondly – and this is perhaps even more crucial – is that Liverpool are looking for a new centre-back.
As things stand, it’s perhaps unlikely that they head into a new season without five senior options in the position. Right now, Phillips is the fifth of those options and unlikely to play much unless injuries affect the Reds.

But Liverpool need him nonetheless. That was shown in just the second game of last season, where Big Nat started alongside Virgil van Dijk, with Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate out injured.
You don’t want to need a strong fifth-choice, but it may be necessary at times nevertheless.
So, as much as we hate to say it, Phillips may not be able to be moved on unless Liverpool do bring in a new defender. At the moment, Levi Colwill looks like being the favourite to be that man. But with Chelsea unwilling to sell, a deal doesn’t look easy to do.
As a result, the longer it goes without Phillips joining a new team, the more it looks likely that he’ll be unable to leave once again. Hopefully that changes. Lower the price and let him go, Jurgen!
