Fabrizio Romano has said that Nat Phillips could leave Liverpool this summer, with the Reds open to selling the centre-back to raise vital funds.
Speaking to Caught Offside, the transfer insider revealed that the 26-year-old is a strong candidate to depart Anfield in the coming weeks, with Liverpool now in need of selling some players if they’re to make their next moves in the transfer window.
Liverpool have spent close to £100m on Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai, and with Jurgen Klopp keen to bring in at least one more midfielder and a defender, the German manager will have to offload some players to help raise some funds for the budget and to balance the books.

And Phillips is just one name who is now being touted as a potential sale for Liverpool, with Romano saying on the defender’s future on Merseyside: “One player who could leave Liverpool is Nat Phillips, but there’s no development yet.
“They just spent €70m on Szoboszlai so it’s also time to discuss internally, plan their next steps, find the right opportunities and also sell some players. Phillips could be on the move, it’s a concrete possibility that will be discussed soon.”
Liverpool will want to sell Phillips for as much as possible this summer

Phillips is ready for a move this summer having spent last season as a bench warmer for Liverpool. And with all parties now on the same page in regards to a transfer, the Reds will be hopeful of recouping as much money as possible for the 26-year-old.
As we know, Liverpool still need to do business in the market this summer. And with Phillips a player who can bring in the Reds pure profit, the Anfield side should be doing all they can to get as much as they want by selling the defender to an interested party.
