Reported Liverpool transfer target Youssoufa Moukoko has claimed that he’s happy at Borussia Dortmund.
The 17-year-old has been linked with a move to Liverpool over recent weeks. But as per Sport1 via journalist Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Moukoko has asserted that he feels ‘at home’ at his current club.
“I’ve been here at Borussia Dortmund for 7 years, I feel at home here,” he said. “I know this club very well and the manager [Edin] Terzic trusts me.”
Moukoko’s deal is actually set to expire at the end of the season. Having scored twice more for Dortmund today, they’ll have to get a move on with a new deal.
Fail to agree terms, and there’ll be plenty of clubs across Europe happy to swoop in.

Liverpool looking for Dortmund double raid?
Rumours of Liverpool looking at Moukoko as an option emerged a couple of weeks ago.
On that occasion, it was Spanish outlet Sport who were suggesting that the Reds were in the race for the youngster.
They went as far as saying that Liverpool are actually ‘best positioned’ to sign the German striker.
Should this news be accurate, Moukoko would be an exceptional coup for Liverpool. Bursting onto the scene at barely sixteen, the striker has been coveted ever since. Furthermore, his stats suggest that he’d be a perfect Jurgen Klopp player.

For now though, Liverpool should have eyes on just one Dortmund player. Jude Bellingham is still the Reds priority over the coming transfer windows.
Fail to land the England midfielder, and Moukoko would be a superb consolation prize. But right now, the focus should be on doing everything possible to secure Bellingham’s signature.
If that means holding off on interest in Moukoko then so be it. Liverpool don’t want to be doing anything that could sour the relationship with Bellingham’s current employer.
Beyond that though, it will be fascinating to see where one of Europe’s hottest properties ends up, or whether Dortmund can keep him.
