Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring Borussia Dortmund youngster Youssoufa Moukoko to Liverpool.
That’s according to Spanish outlet Sport, who claim that the Liverpool boss has been ‘convinced’ by the 17-year-old’s displays this season.
Moukoko has four goals in four Bundesliga starts for Dortmund this season. And Klopp has reportedly seen enough to sanction a move for the teenager.
It’s claimed that the Liverpool manager’s interest has led to the Reds being ‘best positioned’ to sign the striker.
However, there will reportedly be fierce competition for Liverpool to fend off. All of Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG are said to be ‘determined’ to land Moukoko.

Dortmund moulding another potential superstar
It feels as though Moukoko has been around for ages. The German made his Dortmund debut aged just sixteen and one day in 2020.
Not long after that, former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can claimed via Fansided that the teenager’s talent was ‘crazy.’
Still yet to turn eighteen, he has gone on to play 53 times for the club, scoring nine times.
This isn’t a hugely impressive record, but for a player so young, he has plenty of room to build on this.

For the moment, he’s surely at the right club to do that. Dortmund are well-known to blood young talent and will continue to give Moukoko the platform to shine.
But continue to shine and it won’t be long until the bigger sharks come circling. Along with Bellingham, Moukoko has the potential to earn his current club big money in the transfer market.
No fee has yet been mentioned. But you get the impression that if his trajectory continues in the way it currently is, Dortmund will be set for another big payday.
