Liverpool beat Manchester City to teenage talent and he finishes his debut season with 13 goals

Bobby Clark bagged a brace for Liverpool Under 18s to finish his debut campaign with 13 goals. The Reds have a promising talent here.

Bobby Clark scored twice for Liverpool Under 18s on Saturday as the academy side finished their season. The goals came as part of a 5-0 win over Newcastle United – Clark’s former side.

The teenager joined Liverpool to start this season, with the Reds reportedly beating several top sides to his signature. Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich all wanted Clark, per the Daily Mail.

It was Liverpool who won out, though.

Clark kicked off the campaign in style, too, as he scored on his debut. He’s now finishing his debut season with the Liverpool U18s having scored 13 times – a fine return from a player who doesn’t operate as a forward.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited about Clark, then. And he’s not the only one.

Bobby Clark impresses for Liverpool

Clark is far from the only star talent in the Liverpool U18s. In fact, Harvey Blair – who made a senior start in the EFL Cup this season – got his 14th goal of the campaign in this one.

But, of course, if you’re going to talk about anyone in that team, it’s Oakley Cannonier. He’s scoring for fun this season with incredible consistency and looks like a top prospect in front of goal.

In fact, the teenager was training with the first team this week – it appears Liverpool feel he’s ready to step up soon. It promises to be a big summer for Cannonier.

The Reds’ future looks remarkably bright, then, from Under 25 level to the academy teams. Clark, Blair and Cannonier are a big part of that and we can’t wait to see what the next few years hold for them.
