Jordan Henderson had nothing but praise for Liverpool’s Thiago after the Spaniard’s display against Manchester United last night. He was electric.
Liverpool hammered Manchester United last night to win 4-0 at Anfield. It was a brilliant performance and one that fits very well with the 5-0 win at Old Trafford earlier in the season.
9-0 over two games – it’s like a dream come true, honestly. The Reds were sensational yet again and you can pick out just about every player for praise.
But one, in particular, is getting a lot of it – Thiago. The Spaniard didn’t actually score or assist in this one but the way he ran the game was incredible. This was Thiago at his absolute best.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson was asked about his teammate for Premier League Productions and, unsurprisingly, had some great things to say about the Reds’ no.6.
“He’s a fantastic football player,” said Henderson. “I don’t have to speak much about him – you can see how good he is.
“Technically, his awareness, it’s what he’s done in his career. I can remember playing against him when I was really young and I couldn’t get near him.
“So to be playing in the same side as him is a pleasure for me.”
Thiago shines for Liverpool
Thiago is getting praise from all corners after this one. Gary Lineker says he loves watching him play, while Jamie Carragher believes this was his best display for Liverpool.

Carragher might be right, too – at the very least, it was Thiago’s most dominant showing.
And the player is in fantastic form right now, running games and delivering all-action performances that few can. It was only a few days ago that Thiago shone brightly at Wembley in a massive FA Cup semi-final. He’s delivering in every game now, no matter what kind of pressure is on him.
A world-class player and one Liverpool can feel incredibly proud of.
