Liverpool are in a uniquely strong position at the minute.

The club not only boast the most indomitable side out there – they are world champions after all – but they also have a recruitment team that is the envy of the footballing world.

This means that while other sides are out splashing mountains of cash trying to panic buy their way to having a fighting chance of competing with The Reds, Michael Edwards is making precision purchases to extend the gap even further.

According to The Express, Liverpool will embark on a spending spree with a view to cementing their dominance, with the paper citing moves for Timo Werner, Todd Cantwell and Jadon Sancho.

What RTK has to say

If we bagged Werner, Cantwell and Sancho then it’s tough to see any side getting near Liverpool next season.

The club are already miles ahead of their competition, if we replace outgoing deadwood with young, prodigious talents then our rivals have little chance of catching up.

Signing young will likely be the priority over this coming transfer window; the first team have a few more years at least before they need an overhaul, if we sign the stars of tomorrow then the transition should be seamless.
