This summer will likely see an auction for Jadon Sancho. The England winger has piqued the interest of every major club in Europe and whoever he ends up playing for will be incredibly fortunate. If Liverpool miss out on Jadon Sancho and he heads to Manchester United it would be no disaster – they’re miles behind us.
The youngster is certain to have a bright future in the game but where he ends up next is anybody’s guess.
The Daily Mirror have reported that Manchester United are ‘firm favourites’ for Jadon Sancho.
Whilst Football365 are one of a number of outlets to report that Liverpool ‘have informed’ Borussia Dortmund of their interest in the youngster.
The 19-year-old has an incredible 12 goals and 13 assists in 18 starts in the German Bundesliga this season.
His phenomenal statistics for his age will serve to push his transfer fee through the roof, something that is likely to turn off Michael Edwards.
If Liverpool end up missing out on Sancho to Manchester United it wouldn’t be a disaster, in fact if he doesn’t end up at Anfield then Old Trafford is probably the best move for us.
At the minute United are miles behind Liverpool.
At the time of writing there is a 38 point gap between the two old rivals. Can Sancho bridge a 38 point gap by himself? Absolutely not.
Given that The Reds are certain to strengthen the squad over the summer, missing out on one player to a team nearly 40 points adrift won’t bother us.
If he were to move to Manchester City or Chelsea then perhaps he could help them get closer to Liverpool. United however are too far adrift for us too worry about him moving there.
