Saturday saw Liverpool scrape a vital win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. The Reds came out victorious in a tightly contested 2-1 clash in South London. The league leaders were without their talismanic forward Mo Salah for the game, with the Egyptian King rested on the bench due to an ankle problem. Ahead of Wednesday’s crucial clash with Napoli, Jürgen Klopp has provided a Mo Salah injury update.

The Daily Mirror reported comments that Jürgen Klopp made after the game:
“Mo is all good, he couldn’t train for nine days. We had to make the decision whether to start him or not. We didn’t start him, we were about to bring him on when we scored the winner. So we could rest him today. That’s really good. Wednesday he will be back.”
What RTK has to say
This Mo Salah injury update is a huge boost for Liverpool. The Reds’ midweek game against Napoli is crucial to our title race. If we win against the Italians on Wednesday then we guarantee ourselves top spot in the group, essentially freeing up our game against Red Bull Salzburg in December.
The Egyptian forward was the decisive factor in last season’s home tie with Napoli in the Champions League. The Reds needed a win and the winger came up with the goods, slotting in at the near post before half time.
With Salah back in the side we will be a much more threatening prospect on the front foot. Napoli will be arriving hoping to get a result and won’t be relying on not conceding, there will likely be gaps for him to exploit.
