Changes needed ASAP: Liverpool player ratings against Crystal Palace

Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park today to maintain their lead at the top. It was a scrappy win, which as we all know is the mark of champions. A win is a win. Here are our Liverpool player ratings against Crystal Palace:

Goalkeeper: Alisson Becker – 7

The Brazilian had a solid game as usual, there was nothing he could do about the goal.

Right back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6

Trent was far from his best today defensively and his delivery wasn’t on point. However some of his passing was extraordinary as ever.

Centre back: Dejan Lovren – 5

Dejan Lovren was far too easily beaten for the Crystal Palace equaliser, Joe Gomez definitely deserves another chance now.

Centre back: Virgil van Dijk – 8

Imperious as ever at the back. The Dutchman was a magnet for crosses.

Left back: Andy Robertson – 7

Robbo’s work rate was impressive as ever but his delivery was lacking today.

Defensive midfield: Fabinho – 7.5

Fabinho had a solid game in midfield, making some crucial interceptions.

Centre midfield: Jordan Henderson – 7

Jordan Henderson was industrious ever, covering every blade of grass.

Centre midfield: Gini Wijnaldum – 6.5

Gini looked a touch leggy today and failed to really impose himself in the midfield.

Right wing: Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 7.5

The Ox was bright and inventive, pulling off some clever first time touches and through balls.

Striker: Bobby Firmino – 8.5

Bobby Firmino worked his socks off today and his crucial goal was well deserved.

Left wing: Sadio Mane – 9

Sadio pressed and pressed and pressed today. Without his work rate up top we would have faced some dangerous counter attacks, his goal was a just reward.
