Liverpool will begin their pre-season friendly schedule on Saturday as they fly out to America to face Sunderland.
The Black Cats are one of three opponents while the Reds are in the USA, with fixtures against Wrexham and then Leeds United also lined up.
With some of the big names yet to return from World Cup duty, and a distinct lack of new signings worrying supporters, there is not loads for them to get excited about for the fixtures.

Nevertheless, there is a chance to see new signing Jeremy Jacquet in action. The Frenchman arrived at Liverpool having been nursing a shoulder injury since February, but according to Andoni Iraola, Jacquet should be ready to play immediately.
Jacquet should be available against Sunderland
At the time of writing, Liverpool’s squad to fly out to the US is yet to have been revealed. But with the trip scheduled for Monday, that should become clear soon enough.
At one stage there may have been some doubt over Jacquet’s inclusion in the tour, but as Iraola told Liverpoolfc.com on Saturday, his new centre-back is fit and ready to go ‘from the beginning.’
“Jeremy was a player that I knew very well, even before signing for Liverpool,” he said.

“Still being young, I think he has all the tools that we will need for that position.
“He also came into the last months of the [past] season with a shoulder injury, but he is fully healed. He has been already training with the U21s. He’s ready to go from the beginning.”
Virgil van Dijk should be back by the time Liverpool face Sunderland, but it remains to be seen whether the captain will make the trip to the US, while it will be interesting to see whether Giovanni Leoni is involved as well.
Joe Gomez will surely feature, as may Mor Talla Ndiaye, Ifeanyi Ndukwe and several other candidates from the Liverpool academy, but with Jacquet seemingly back to full fitness, it would be a surprise if he did not make his unofficial Reds debut in Nashville on Saturday.
Failing that, he will certainly play against Wrexham on July 30th, or in the clash with Leeds three days later.
