A new midfielder should be high on Liverpool’s transfer to-do list. In truth, it should have been addressed over the last two windows.
Different accounts have circulated about what Liverpool actually want. Is it an Adam Wharton type, someone silky and progressive, or more of an Eduardo Camavinga profile, physical, defensive and dynamic?

To wrap up the final press conference of the season, Slot should be asked about expectations for next year with him still in charge.
The easy response is that Liverpool should always compete for trophies. The follow-up should be about how he plans to make that happen.
That would give supporters a map back to success, and a standard to hold the manager to next season.
If the team are falling well short of his own expectations by October or November, he can have few complaints if his position comes under serious threat.
