Alisson Becker is now expected to leave Liverpool this summer, with Juventus’ pursuit of the Brazilian goalkeeper said to be advancing.
Liverpool will already see two legends, Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson, leave the club this summer. But now it looks increasingly like the iconic No.1 could follow them out of Anfield as Juventus push to take him to Turin.
Alisson has agreed personal terms with Juventus, and the pieces appear to be sliding into place as the window approaches. Nothing is done yet, but the direction of travel is becoming difficult to ignore.
If Xabi Alonso goes to Chelsea, who should be Liverpool’s next manager?
Liverpool will entertain Alisson Becker sale to Juventus
Alisson has been linked with Juventus for a while, but the story has perhaps not always been taken as seriously as it should have been. That now looks set to change.
Speaking to Anfield Index, David Lynch was asked to rate the chances out of ten that Alisson is still at Liverpool next season. His answer was telling.
He began: “Yeah, I’d be surprised at this point. I think there’s just a lot of smoke there. I think clearly what’s happening here is that the decision is on the player’s side really, in terms of does he want to move on and try something new or does he want to stick around?”

After almost eight years on Merseyside, the Brazilian has every right to look at pastures new. The club are expected to go along with whatever decision he makes.
Lynch continues: “Because he’s under contract, Liverpool will give him the choice of either, as long as their needs in terms of a transfer fee are met.
“The fact that things are clearly advancing on the player’s side says to me that there’s a willingness there to let him go and a willingness on his side to go. So I don’t think Liverpool will stand in his way.”
Sounds like Alisson will be joining Salah and Robertson through the exit door.
For Liverpool, it would be another enormous change to the spine of the side. For Alisson, it would be a chance to start again at another European giant.
Liverpool’s new stance on selling Alisson Becker
The latest from Italy only adds to the feeling that this deal is moving.
Tuttosport claim Alisson wants only Juventus, and has now instructed his camp to ‘schedule a meeting with Liverpool in the coming days’.
Which goalkeeper has been better than Alisson in the Premier League era? 🧤⚽
That is said to be the final issue to resolve, because an agreement with Juventus — a three-year deal worth £4.3 million is on the table.
The report also claims Alisson understands that he will need to play an active role in talks with Liverpool. Juventus are not expected to spend heavily on a goalkeeper this summer, so the Brazilian may have to use his strong relationship with the club to convince them to lower their demands.
Liverpool are said to be unwilling to go below £13 to £17 million.
Alisson would be a huge loss for Liverpool. He has been one of the best goalkeepers in the world for much of his time at Anfield, and his role in Liverpool’s modern success is as big as anyone’s.
But he has also earned the right to make this choice. If he wants Juventus, and if Liverpool receive a fee they consider acceptable, it would be difficult to justify standing in his way.
