As Liverpool continue to search for the right way to get the best out of Florian Wirtz, Bayern Munich legend Bastian Schweinsteiger has revealed one easy solution.
Wirtz has had a difficult first season with the Reds, mostly failing to live up to the hype generated by his mega signing from Bayer Leverkusen last summer.
Nevertheless, there remains hope that the German will click at Liverpool eventually, with Schweinsteiger insisting that his countryman simply needs to get on the ball as much as he possibly can.

Schweinsteiger wants to see Wirtz on the ball
Though he has not had the best of times with Liverpool, Wirtz is still expected to be a big part of Germany’s efforts to win the World Cup this summer.
Asked whether the Reds’ No. 7 can be Die Mannschaft’s ‘X-factor’ during the tournament while speaking to BILD, Schweinsteiger has claimed that if his teammates give him the ball, Wirtz can do damage to anyone.
“It doesn’t just depend on him. I see Wirtz and Musiala as our Ribery and Robben,” said the former Man United midfielder. “They’re the players who make the decisive move in crucial moments.
“If I were playing with Wirtz, I’d simply give him the ball as often as possible. Because he needs the ball to make his game more dominant, to bring his ideas to the table.”

“I think he has incredible vision in his game. When I think back to his pass to Serge Gnabry against Switzerland, I say: not many players make passes like that – and with that precision.
“If Musiala and Wirtz can ignite their potential, then I’m very, very confident.”
Perhaps Liverpool need to look for their own version of Jamal Musiala to get the best out of Wirtz. That is where links to Morgan Rogers, for example, could get interesting.
In the meantime, Liverpool players should take Schweinsteiger’s advice and give him the ball as often as they can. If they build this new team around him, Reds fans can still see the very best version of Wirtz playing for their club.
