Liverpool’s wage bill is among the highest in the Premier League right now, with more changes expected in the coming year

The Reds’ overall revenue increased by £89m to £703m when their 2024/25 accounts were made public earlier in 2026.

Liverpool’s wage bill increased by £42m in that financial year despite a lack of signings, and a further increase is to be expected in 2025/26 given that Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alexander Isak are among the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

With Arne Slot expected to stay, will Liverpool challenge for the Premier League next season?

Or will it be another difficult campaign? 😬

Top 10 highest-paid Premier League players include Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Alexander Isak

Isak arrived at Anfield during the 2025 summer window for what is a British transfer record fee.

The Swede has missed much of the season due to injury and fitness issues, but now he’s back starting regularly, Liverpool are no doubt hoping he can begin to justify the huge amount of money that has been involved in getting him to the club.

According to Capology, Isak is the joint-sixth highest-paid player in the Premier League for the 2025/26 season.

Manchester City’s Erling Haaland tops the list with a salary of £525,000-a-week, and is the only player taking home over half a million pounds.

Salah, who is leaving Liverpool after the current campaign comes to a close, takes second place with £400,000-a-week.

He is followed in the top-10 list by another Reds star, Van Dijk, who takes home £350,000-a-week on a contract that runs until 2027.

The full top 10 is as follows:

Cody Gakpo (£250,000-a-week) narrowly misses out on the top 10, sitting joint-11th with the likes of Marc Guehi and Declan Rice.
