Liverpool lost to Manchester City for a third time this season on Saturday, and supporters have had enough of Arne Slot.
The Reds are backing their manager for now, it was claimed recently. But how much longer can this go on?
Even when Liverpool start well, any sort of setback knocks all confidence out of the team, and they collapse under Slot, leading fans to call for Steven Gerrard to be brought in until the end of 2025/26.

Liverpool fans want Steven Gerrard to replace Arne Slot after Man City
There was talk about FSG bringing in an interim manager earlier this season, though that now seems unlikely at this stage.
However, that has not stopped fans from asking Gerrard to be brought in to add some much-needed fight back to the club.
One fan wrote: “Mamardashvili wouldn’t catch a cold. Slot, Hughes and Edwards sent Liverpool back 3-4 years. Sack Slot today. Get Gerrard to knock this Dutch culture out of the club and bring in Alonso for next season.”
“I’ll take Gerrard until the end of the season, live off a bit of heart at least,” a second stated.
Another added: “Give it to Gerrard until the end of the season, man.”
A fourth suggested: “Arne Slot will be replaced by Steven Gerrard as Interim, watch this space.”
“Gerrard until the end of the season, please,” pleaded another Liverpool fan, with another echoing the exact same sentiment: “Gerrard until the end of the season, please.”
A sixth demanded: “These players are not playing for Slot! This performance is a disgrace get Gerrard in! Slot out after this game!”

Steven Gerrard’s latest comments on Liverpool return
Will FSG actually make a change between now and the PSG game? Probably not.
But Gerrard is ready to help Liverpool, explaining as much when he appeared on The Overlap this week.
He said: “Any help or area I could help the club in, I’d always try and do it if I could. But I suppose what you want to know is, do you want to manage Liverpool at some point in your life? Of course, that would be a dream, but I think would I be ready for it right now to take it over a period of time?
“Probably not, but is there a possibility in the future to be alongside someone, them elite managers that you’re talking about?”
