Liverpool have been dealt a significant blow in their Champions League aspirations as PSG get a favourable decision to postpone their Ligue 1 match with Lens.
They were due to face off on April 11th, sandwiched between their two legs against Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-final.
Lens, who sit just a point off league leaders PSG, were vehemently against the idea, as were the Reds, but according to RMC Sport, the European champions have been granted their wish.
What is your all-time favourite Mohamed Salah moment at Liverpool? ⚽
It makes an already-daunting task that bit harder, especially since we have to face Fulham in the Premier League on that same day.
PSG have to be considered firm favourites vs Liverpool
Even before the postponement, PSG were favourites against Liverpool. Now though, they have a full week of rest between the legs, meaning they will come to Anfield far more confident than would have been the case.
As deep as their squad is, there are certain areas — in the midfield and at the back — where there isn’t enough quality to rotate without losing an edge.

Luis Enrique will be able to play his strongest XI across both fixtures without having to worry about a potential title-decider in the middle.
There are questions to be asked about the fairness of this kind of decision, and whether the LFP board of directors are unbiased to a French team going far in Europe. The answer is no.
This feels like an underhanded tactic, especially considering Liverpool have to play on April 11th anyway.
Liverpool might have to sacrifice Fulham
Liverpool can’t win the Premier League, but in theory, they could go all the way in the Champions League.
The race for the top five is vital, but not so vital that Arne Slot can afford to give anything but 100% against PSG.
CHANGE MY MIND: Liverpool are still the best team in Europe on their day
After watching all of the other quarter-finalists, the Reds have nobody to fear in the Champions League 🏆
With Chelsea in apparent freefall, the Reds will have to take a gamble on dropping points against Fulham. Play a strong team, but keep the best XI fresh and ready for the second leg. That’s the hand we have been dealt.
