It has been a long season for Liverpool fans, who might be tempted to tune out of the action during this international break.

That would be ill-advised, as there are three cracking fixtures this week that you won’t want to miss.

Every Liverpool player on duty will see their games as important, representing their countries, but it would be impossible to catch all of them in action.

Which Liverpool player would you most like to see lift the World Cup this summer?

And which one has the best chance…

Rather, be smart with your time and watch France take on Brazil, and two more must-see matchups.

A Liverpool fan viewing list for the international break

On Thursday night, Hugo Ekitike and Ibrahima Konate’s France take on Brazil. That game will be a real spectacle.

Alisson Becker remains in Liverpool due to injury, but the French duo will be hoping to feature. Ekitike was a doubt to go on duty after picking up a dead leg against Brighton at the weekend.

If he’s fully fit, he should at least make a cameo. Even if neither get on, a France vs Brazil fixture is stacked with too much quality to miss.

Then on Friday, the Dutch contingent at Liverpool are in action against Erling Haaland’s Norway. Another friendly, but one guaranteed to feature multiple Reds.

Norway have been on fire in the last 12 months beginning to assert themselves as a dominant force on the international stage. That won’t be easy for Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Jeremie Frimpong and Cody Gakpo.

Finally, after enjoying a football-free weekend, you can return to the TV on Tuesday for an intriguing Under 19s clash between England and Portugal.

Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni are likely to be on the pitch, and likely to make a significant impact at a level they have both surpassed with their emergence in the senior team. Portugal, too, are stacked with young talent, so it will be a test of the Liverpool pair’s mettle.

Netherlands vs Norway – Friday, 7.45pm (GMT)
