After Mohamed Salah’s future was confirmed, various Liverpool players, including Rio Ngumoha, have sent messages to the forward.

Despite having over a year left on his current Reds contract, Salah will move for free in the summer of 2026.

It brings to an end a historic run at Anfield, which has led to Ngumoha dubbing the Liverpool star a ‘king’.

Rio Ngumoha, Virgil van Dijk and more react to Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool exit

Taking to Instagram, Salah shared a video regarding his time on Merseyside with a simple love-heart emoji as the caption.

Various current and former Liverpool players have since taken to the comment section of the post to share their reactions.

Ngumoha stated: “King,” followed by love-heart and praying emojis.

Former Liverpool striker Ian Rush wrote: “Shukran, Thank you. Egyptian King. YNWA.”

Harvey Elliott and Ryan Gravenberch both called Salah a ‘legend’ when commenting on his social media post.

Ibrahima Konate stated: “THE KING,” Hugo Ekitike said: “The One. Thanks Abdul.”

The likes of Virgil van Dijk, ex-Red Darwin Nunez, Florian Wirtz and Curtis Jones also showed their appreciation for the 33-year-old by commenting love-heart, praying, and clapping emojis.

This, of course, also comes alongside a personal, emotional tribute from Andy Robertson, who shared his love for Salah in his own social media post.

He said: “Mohammed, Thank you. Nine of the best years of our lives with amazing memories on and off the pitch. Watching you become the best at what you do and become one of the best to ever have worn the Liverpool shirt has been a joy to watch and be part of.

“Your mentality is second to none and a lot of people could take note. You have pushed yourself every single day and always demanded more from yourself and others. A pleasure sharing the pitch with you for so long but even more so being able to call you a friend.”
