Arne Slot held his pre-Nottingham Forest press conference on Thursday and provided updates on Alexander Isak, Jeremie Frimpong and Wataru Endo.
After beating Sunderland last week, the Reds are now just three points away from fourth place.
Liverpool’s end-of-season fixtures compared to Manchester United are slightly more difficult, so it’s imperative they take advantage of games like this Sunday’s.

Arne Slot provides Alexander Isak, Jeremie Frimpong and Wataru Endo updates before Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool
Ahead of the tie, Slot held his pre-match press conference on Thursday morning.
The Dutchman discussed a number of topics in his presser, including providing an injury update.
Jeremie Frimpong missed Liverpool training this week and is not expected to be back fit for the Forest clash.
Slot commented on the Dutchman in his presser, ruling him out of the weekend’s tie.
He said: “Jeremie will not be involved this weekend, we hope he will be involved next week if things go as planned.”
Slot was then asked for updates on Wataru Endo and Alexander Isak, confirming the latter has been back running for the first time this week: “No, no, Wataru will be out for a long time, we don’t know exactly how long.
“And Alex, he’s been out on the pitch now, not with his football shoes but with his running shoes for the first time this week. That will still take a while before he’s ready to play for us again.”
With Frimpong out, Slot was then asked if Joe Gomez is ready to start, to which he responded: “Yeah, I think he is.”
How would you rate Liverpool’s signing of Jeremie Frimpong out of 10?
Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool head-to-head record
Liverpool have enjoyed the most success in this fixture over the years, winning 60 matches compared to Nottingham Forest’s 33.
However, recent seasons have actually seen the Midlands outfit come out on top.
The first meeting between the two sides in 2025/26 saw Forest come away with a 3-0 win.
Last term, meanwhile, Liverpool lost 1-0 at Anfield and were held to a 1-1 draw in the return fixture at the City Ground.
