Arne Slot has angered the Liverpool faithful on a number of occasions already this season
Rio Ngumoha’s lack of minutes for the first team has seen fans question Slot.
Supporters have even discussed potential new Liverpool managers in recent times when the Dutchman took them on their worst run of form since 1953/54.
Meanwhile, one of the more consistent sticking points among the fanbase has been Slot’s treatment of Federico Chiesa.
Federico Chiesa is being disrespected by Arne Slot! How would you use the Italian vs Tottenham?
Arne Slot left furious with Federico Chiesa after Plymouth
Despite making a game-saving clearance against Sunderland during what was a very tough time for Slot, Chiesa has played just 150 minutes of Premier League football this term.
Even with Mohamed Salah out of the eleven and injuries to players like Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, the Italian has been a bit-part player.
Now, comments made by Lewis Steele about Slot not trusting Chiesa and being left furious after a defeat to Plymouth Argyle have baffled Liverpool fans, who took to social media to express their views.
One wrote: “Yeah completely writing him off for one performance is strange behaviour tbf.”
“He has different standards when it suits him. Based on that same logic, Gakpo should be nowhere near the team. He should do what he likes. He will be gone soon enough. He should rather be thanking the guy for saving his job v Sunderland,” added a second.
Another fan was also quick to mention the Italian’s clearance versus Sunderland: “He saved his career by that stopping time goal clearance. If it was me, I would have let nature take its course that evening. But because Chiesa is such a proud player, he saved Arne Slot.”
A fourth claimed: “Utterly unreasonable. Chiesa has been superb this season.”
“So he’s literally just got an agenda against him over one game, his treatment of certain players has been an absolute joke,” wrote another.
A sixth Liverpool fan added: “Then Gakpo should be sold for free immediately, he has been —-,” with another echoing: “Bad man management. Gakpo is the best from his view,” and eighth writing: “You can’t be ——- serious, what about Gakpo.”

Federico Chiesa transfer latest
It was reported in November that Chiesa wants to remain at Liverpool beyond the winter transfer window.
However, the potential arrival of a winger like Antoine Semenyo could change that, as Fabrizio Romano explained at the time.
He said: “It’s clear that if a month or a month and a half from now – well into January – Chiesa still won’t have found the playing time he’s hoping for, and if Liverpool were to make another signing, a winger like Semenyo who’s a player Liverpool are targeting, in that case we need to be careful about Chiesa.”
It was also mentioned that Italian teams could make a move for the Liverpool winger next month after failing to complete a deal in the previous window.
With Salah now away at the AFCON and Dominik Szoboszlai potentially a doubt against Tottenham, now is likely the best chance Chiesa will have to break into the eleven, though most fans probably think it won’t happen.
