Mohamed Salah’s interview, in which he slammed Liverpool and Arne Slot, has caused much debate.
The 33-year-old was benched for the third game in a row when the Reds travelled to Elland Road this past Saturday.
It was another disappointing night for Liverpool, who blew two-goal and one-goal leads to draw 3-3, but their misery was further compounded shortly after the game.
Salah made a rare press appearance post-Leeds, saying he felt thrown under the bus and claimed someone at the club wants him out.
Jamie Carragher has since shared his view of the situation when speaking on this week’s Monday Night Football.

Jamie Carragher defends his Mohamed Salah comments
As expected, his verdict has garnered a lot of attention online, including from talkSPORT pundit Hugh Woozencroft.
In response to the former centre-back’s monologue, he took to X/Twitter and wrote: “Agreed with a lot of this but there were some unnecessary jibes.
“Mentioning how much he’s been paid & how he was seen before he got to Liverpool – as if HE should be grateful. He earned his money without question & Liverpool hadn’t won a league title for almost 3 decades.”
Carragher has since replied to the tweet, writing: “They weren’t jibes, you & others have completely missed the point, which was no matter how good you are we all need help from the club, players & fans to be successful.
“He’s been amazing for LFC & LFC have been amazing for him. Which I was just reminding him.”
Everything we know about Mohamed Salah and Arne Slot’s Liverpool futures
It’s a messy situation to say the least, but it could all blow over if those involved are willing to work things out.
Despite Salah’s comments towards the manager, it has been revealed that FSG will continue to back Slot.
So, if the Dutchman isn’t going anywhere for the time being, where does that leave the winger going forward?
Well, he won’t be playing against Inter Milan on Tuesday, but the latest news coming out of Liverpool regarding Salah is that this issue is viewed as a short-term problem, rather than the end of the 33-year-old’s time at Anfield.
There is transfer interest in the forward, but at present, it doesn’t appear as though the Reds are resigned to losing one of their all-time best players.
