Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon, facing off against West Ham United.
The Reds were humbled by Nottingham Forest in their last league tie, setting an unwanted record in the process.
Liverpool have now lost nine in 12 across all competitions this season, leading to more talk about Arne Slot being sacked.
Jamie Carragher has shared his verdict on the manager being dismissed, as have more former players.
The Dutchman has since spoken to the media on Thursday afternoon ahead of the trip to West Ham.

Arne Slot speaks to FSG before West Ham vs Liverpool
When speaking live at his pre-match press conference, Slot was asked if he has spoken to any of the Liverpool ownership group since the PSV defeat.
He responded: “Yeah, we’ve had the same conversations as we’ve had since I’m here.
“And, not sure if I said it last night, but we fight on, and we try to improve, that’s what we all try.
“But the conversations have been the same as they have been for the past one and a half years.”
Should Liverpool sack Arne Slot?
West Ham vs Liverpool head-to-head record
If there is one opponent Slot and Liverpool should be looking forward to facing, it is West Ham.
The previous meeting between these two sides ended 2-1 to the Reds on April 13, 2025, with Luis Diaz and Virgil van Dijk getting on the score sheet.
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last nine matches against the Hammers, not losing a single game since November 7, 2021.
That victory was West Ham’s first in any competition since an FA Cup clash back in 2016.
Overall, the Premier League champions have emerged victorious 86 times in this fixture throughout history, while the East London outfit have won 29, and the remaining 38 games have ended as draws.
