Arne Slot has become ‘obsessed’ with the Champions League, according to Jamie Carragher, and given how the Reds are faring in the league this season, he may need to be.
There has been talk about Slot leaving Liverpool on the back of six defeats in seven Premier League ties, but they are still going strong in Europe.
They beat Real Madrid last time out and now face off with a PSV side who have secured just one win in their opening four European games this season.

Three Liverpool players miss training before PSV
Before the Nottingham Forest defeat this past Saturday, Slot confirmed Florian Wirtz and Conor Bradley are injured.
Bradley is expected to be out for several weeks, while it was claimed that Wirtz should return sooner.
Slot said: “Both muscle issues. I don’t expect Conor to be part of next 22 days. Florian won’t be that long.”
However, it appears the German has not recovered in time to be part of the squad taking on PSV this week, nor has Bradley.
Journalist Ian Doyle has shared a video of Liverpool training on November 25, confirming no notable players have returned ahead of the Champions League tie.
That also means that right-back Jeremie Frimpong remains out of action. Slot gave a Frimpong update before the November international break, but couldn’t put an exact timeframe on when his countryman would return.

The previous meeting between the pair saw PSV come out on top, with Liverpool fielding a weaker squad that did not include names such as Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
Prior to that shock loss, however, the Merseyside outfit have enjoyed much success against their latest opponents.
Liverpool won five of their first six meetings with PSV in Europe, with the only stalemate coming on September 12, 2006 (0-0).
Three of their seven meetings throughout history have taken place at Anfield, with the home team coming out on top via an aggregate score of 6-1.
