Liverpool’s board happy with summer signings
Despite a number of new arrivals failing to hit the ground running at Anfield, however, Liverpool’s board are said to be happy with their business.
Speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League Podcast, reporter Mark McAdam explained how those behind the scenes at Anfield remain happy with their latest round of recruitment.
He said: “If you walk into that Liverpool boardroom and you spoke to the movers and shakers, the people that run the club, the people that make the big money decisions, they will say we are totally calm and relaxed with what we did. We believe in our recruitment.

“We believe in these players. We believe in Arne Slot and we believe in what we are doing. We have won two Premier League titles in the last 30-odd years.
“We are a team that has not historically won Premier League titles.
“We are looking to be one of those sides that continue to press and probe and win and operate at the sharp end of the table. And we are building a team that we believe can compete for many years to come.”

While Liverpool’s board are thought to be happy with how the summer played out, we could see more players arrive on Merseyside in the winter window.
It has been suggested that the Reds could move for Marc Guehi in January and potentially have an unopposed run at the Crystal Palace ace.
Elsewhere, Liverpool target Antoine Semenyo’s release clause will become active at the start of 2026.
Fans want a centre-back over a winger like Semenyo, but the Reds completing a double deal at this stage can’t be ruled out.
