Liverpool fans serenaded Arne Slot with a song of support before they’d even scored their opening goal against Aston Villa on Saturday.

From the moment that Salah netted the opening goal of the game, Liverpool were the ones on top, but even before then, the Reds’ fans proved that they still had faith in the Premier League-winning manager.

Times have been tough for Slot and his men lately, which is why the fans chanting his name against the Villans will have likely helped settle his nerves.

However, after their £450 million summer spend, many thought they’d be close to unstoppable again, but in reality, that’s been far from the case.

And now, a BBC Sport journalist has shared that the Reds’ fans were belting out Slot’s name in the 24th minute, proving their support for their manager.

There’s obviously no hiding from the fact that Liverpool’s performances in October fell well below their usual standards.

The Reds lost almost all of their games, with their one stand-out performance coming against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League when they won 5-1.

Because of this poor run of form, questions have been asked by many fans, pundits, and journalists about Slot’s future, but after what Anfield were chanting on Saturday, it’s clear where the Reds’ fanbase stands.

The fact that so many new players have had to be integrated into the squad hasn’t helped matters much either, and as the season goes on, Liverpool are, hopefully, only going to get better.

For now, Slot seems safe with his successes from last season helping keep his job more than solid, which is good news.
