The pressure on Arne Slot is slowly increasing.
The Reds’ poor run of form continues as Crystal Palace knocked them out of the Carabao Cup after a comfortable 3-0 victory at Anfield.
It is no surprise either given the team Slot put out, with the Dutchman weakening the side and filling the bench with youth.
Fans are certainly starting to get a little worried with his decision making as it looked a little bit like he never really wanted to win the game, with supporters on social media left divided over whether he should stay or go.
Arne Slot in or out?
Liverpool look nothing like the team they were last season, with their chances of silverware drastically reducing already.
Slot has some big problems, with one of them being to prove to the fans that he is the right man for the job, with some really believing that it might be time for a change.
One fan wrote on X: “Anyone who travelled to Anfield should be fully refunded for this performance. Imagine buying a ticket and travel just to see none of the star players involved on the back of losing 5 out of their last 6 games, to witness our team lose 3-0 without any intention from Slot to win.
Another added: “Arne Slot fooled everyone last season and that’s what he’s riding on,” with a third writing: “Klopp changed us from doubters to believers.. Slot’s about to switch me right back again.”

A fourth wrote: “Liverpool have now lost six of their last seven games… Arne Slot’s honeymoon period is over,” with another believing it might be time for him to admit defeat, saying: “Let Arne Slot step down, he has indeed lost faith in himself.”
A sixth wants him out, simply saying: “Sack Arne Slot now, as in right now!” with a seventh adding: “Arne Slot has lost the plot.”
A final fan wanted to look at things a little more optimistically, though, showing that some fans do still think he is the right man, saying: “Rome wasn’t built in a day. Trust the process and be patient. Arne Slot IN.”
Arne Slot needs some big results before the international break
Luckily for Slot, the international break is just three games away, although there is a small chance that he does not even make it until then.
Things do not get any easier for him either as Liverpool have to play Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
If the Reds lose all three of these, that would make it nine defeats in 10 games, a run that would surely mean Slot’s reign would be over.
What he changes is as good a guess as any, but if one thing is for sure, Slot has a career-defining run of fixtures ahead.
