Luka Modric is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders ever.
Reds fans are really starting to wonder what is going on, with their club on a run of four losses on the bounce.
To make matters worse, their most recent defeat came to bitter rivals Manchester United, highlighting how Arne Slot has plenty of issues to resolve.
The midfield is one area he does not seem too happy with due to the amount of changes he makes in this area of the pitch, with Liverpool getting overpowered so far this season.
However, some stars have shown flashes of brilliance, and Jamie Redknapp believes that a silver lining is that one player could be their new Luka Modric.

Florian Wirtz could be Liverpool’s Luka Modric
Modric took the Premier League by storm when he first arrived, eventually going on to Real Madrid.
He was an instant hit there too and became a stalwart in the middle of the park for them for many years, even winning the Ballon d’Or during that time.
One thing about the Croatian, though, is that he was not the most flashy and did not get many goals or assists, but this did not stop him getting the credit he deserves.
Redknapp believes that Wirtz might just be more similar to Modric than people realise, suggesting that he is tipping him to become a real success.
“I’m not sure if he is going to be that person that will always be sliding balls through, he might be at times like a Luka Modric,” he told Sky Sports.

“Now Luka Modric, if you judged him purely on goals and assists, you’d maybe think he wouldn’t be the player we all talk about, but he would be the player that would make the pass that makes the pass. Now that might be Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool do not want Florian Wirtz to be like Luka Modric
Take nothing away from Modric, there is no denying he is one of the greatest to ever play, but Liverpool did not pay £116m for Wirtz for him not to get goals or assists.
The German will play higher up the pitch for a start, more in a number 10 role rather than central midfield, meaning he should get more chances to create.
As well as this, as seen during his time at Bayer Leverkusen, he certainly has more flair to his game, suggesting he is not like Modric at all.
Of course, if Wirtz starts the attacks but does not get a goal or an assist, that is still fine as long as Liverpool are winning, although failure to do so would make that £116m transfer fee look like a massive overspend.
