Arne Slot may start having a problem with ‘tame’ Liverpool ace after what he did for his country

Liverpool may have started off the 2025-26 season well, but recently, things have taken a turn for the worse.

The Reds have lost their last three games across all competitions, with the likes of Galatasaray managing to beat them.

Not only is this due to the poor form shown by the Reds’ first-team squad, but it also shows that their team definitely haven’t gelled yet.

A lot of changes were made by Liverpool in the summer, and it’ll obviously take time for things to turn around, but at the moment, that doesn’t feel all that likely.

Players such as Alexander Isak have performed well below par, and even while away on international duty with Sweden, the former Newcastle man has been miles off the pace.

Isak was supposed to be the answer to all of Liverpool’s problems this season.

Last term, the Reds had the likes of Darwin Nunez leading their attacking line, with many thinking that, with the Uruguayan as their focal point, they’d never be able to be truly dominant.

This is why both Isak and Hugo Ekitike were brought in during the summer.

And, while the latter of the two may have lived up to expectations, Isak has been miles off it with Swedish outlet Expressen even saying that his performance against Kosovo on Monday night was ‘tame.’

“Had a dangerous header early in the game, a semi-dangerous one in the middle of the second and one at the end,” they wrote.

“Was really frustrated when the goalie messed up and got a warning from the referee.

“Overall, a tame effort, but he didn’t get much to work with either.”

Arne Slot needs to figure out the best way to use Alexander Isak for Liverpool

At the moment, it’s clear that things need to change at Anfield as soon as possible.

Although they may be second in the Premier League table at the moment, the fact that they’ve lost three games on the bounce is a cause for concern.

The Reds have plenty of quality among their ranks, and they should have easily beaten the Super Lig team.

Instead, Liverpool put on a poor display, which resulted in them losing their Champions League winning streak.

They also lost their Premier League winning streak, but since those games were against Crystal Palace and Chelsea, they didn’t come as much of a shock.

At the moment, it’s anyone’s guess what could happen, but if Slot doesn’t figure out the best way to play Isak soon, things could end up turning sour.
