Arne Slot had been experimenting with his team so far but it has not quite worked out.
The Reds have not quite lived up to expectations after a sensational transfer window, with three losses on the bounce a big concern heading into the international break.
Slot certainly has plenty to think about because, so far, almost any change he has made to the starting XI has not really worked out the way he would have hoped.
It is clear that the Dutchman does not quite know his best lineup just yet and he appears to be trying to shoehorn the best players into the team even if they do not quite fit.
This is something former manager Alan Pardew has noticed, with the ex-Newcastle boss baffled by his use of one player in particular.

Alan Pardew thinks Florian Wirtz should be playing on the left
Out of all the new signings, it is only Hugo Ekitike who has come in and hit the ground running, with Florian Wirtz perhaps the biggest disappointment of the lot.
The 22-year-old came in with high expectations and an enormous price tag, but he is yet to show why Liverpool were willing to pay that amount of money.
He has played numerous positions and even been dropped to the bench on a few occasions, leaving many to wonder where he truly fits into Slot’s team.
Pardew, however, believes it is clear that he should be playing on the left, with the Englishman left stunned by Slot’s use of him so far.
“I don’t understand, by the way. His best games were off the left side, where he used to come off that left-hand side,” he told talkSPORT.
“So play, you know, the front three that he plays at Liverpool, play off the left and come in internally. Now, he doesn’t do that.

“He’s obviously starting in this number 10 in almost every week for, well, apart from obviously when he’s got left out. I think he’s a player that everybody’s got a question mark about. I think he’s an outstanding footballer.
“Whether he’s going to fit this year, wherever he’s going to get going is another thing. And as you say, it might take till Christmas to get the best out of him.”
Liverpool cannot wait until Christmas for Florian Wirtz to come to life
Liverpool may have only lost three games in a row, two of these in the Premier League, but a lot of fans are very concerned.
With Arsenal looking dominant too, many are worried that they will lose ground on the Gunners and their title defence may be over rather quickly, hence why players like Wirtz need to step up.
However, the German has definitely shown signs of improvement and has been unlucky not to get an assist given how many chances he has created.
So, Reds supporters will be hoping that things click into gear after the international break as waiting until Christmas will be too little, too late.
