Liverpool added yet another win to their season total after they beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 on Wednesday evening.
The two sides were facing one another in the Champions League, with the game being held at Anfield.
Most people expected it to be a rather boring clash due to Diego Simeone’s usual tactics; however, since Liverpool bagged two goals inside the first 10 minutes, it was actually an entertaining game.
Indeed, the fact that Liverpool ended up coming out on top likely helped the entertainment factor for their fans, but the game against Atletico did finally get Mohamed Salah back to his best.
That is, if you forget about the clear-cut chance that he missed around the 66th minute.

However, it wasn’t Salah’s performance that left Leon Osman gobsmacked.
Leon Osman believes that Ryan Gravenberch is “ridiculously good”
One of Arne Slot’s best players since he took over from Jurgen Klopp has been Ryan Gravenberch.
The Dutchman played almost every single game for Liverpool last term, with the former Bayern Munich man only getting the odd rest here and there.
And, while it may have been catching up to him towards the end of the term, it’s clear that the extra game time has brought his game on leaps and bounds, with his £34million price tag now looking like a bargain.
These are the exact thoughts of former Everton legend Osman, who believes that the midfielder was “ridiculously good” against Atletico.
“Until Atletico scored, that half was Liverpool’s best of the season in terms of being in control,” he said in quotes relayed by BBC Sport.
“A big reason for that was Ryan Gravenberch, who has been ridiculously good so far. He’s been the best player on the pitch.”
Liverpool need to keep being consistent to ensure they have the best chance of winning the Champions League
One of Slot’s main goals this season will be to win the Champions League.
Even though the Premier League will be high on his list of priorities, the fact that Liverpool won it last season will likely mean that more of his attention will be turned towards the Champions League.
Last term, they were knocked out in the Round of 16 by Paris Saint-Germain, and although they won the trophy in the end, the Anfield outfit should have still done better.
Indeed, the likes of Alexander Isak had a good game against Atletico, but if they don’t keep their performances consistent, it’ll be hard for them to continue their winning streak.

Because, as much as luck is involved in football, eventually, it’s bound to run out, and, with the amount of money that Liverpool have spent this summer, anything but winning trophies will be seen as a failure.
