Liverpool have had somewhat of a Dutch revolution and they will be looking to help retain the title.

The Reds have recruited smartly this summer by not just bringing in top quality players, but by signing individuals whose personalities will fit in nicely too.

Jeremie Frimpong is one signing who has added to the team both on and off the pitch, with the right-back now the fourth current Dutchman in the squad.

He has settled in nicely for this exact reason, with his fellow countryman ensuring he is set up to succeed at Anfield.

To repay the favour, Frimpong could not have spoken highly enough about the Dutch players, with the 22-year-old describing them in one word that highlights what they bring to the pitch.

Jeremie Frimpong describes Cody Gakpo as a finisher

With Luis Diaz no longer a Liverpool player after completing his move to Bayern Munich, that leaves just Cody Gakpo as the only left winger with first-team experience at the club.

Although he has shown his capabilities in the past, this season is his real chance to prove a point and show to the club why they do not need to find a Diaz replacement.

Frimpong certainly believes he will add a lot next season too, with the right-back labelling him a “finisher” when asked to describe him in one word for a TikTok video.

Gakpo netted 18 goals for the Reds last season after just coming off the back of finishing joint-top goalscorer at Euro 2024, proving just how clinical he is.

Diaz netted 17 in all competitions, meaning the Dutchman has a big job to try and replace as many of those as possible, but by starting the majority of games, it would be no surprise to see him come at least close.

Jeremie Frimpong described Virgil van Dijk as a leader

Frimpong was also asked to name the first word that came to his mind when saying the name of his captain for both club and country, with the right-back, of course, labelling Virgil van Dijk as a “leader”.

The 34-year-old was a signing that revolutionised the team and his leadership qualities have only spurred them on even more, with van Dijk the first Dutchman to captain a side to the Premier League title.

He has also signed a new two-year contract to stay at Anfield a little while longer, and this is despite having big offers from elsewhere.

He is a true captain, leader and legend, and fans will hope that he can win many more trophies in the short time he likely has left as a Red.
