Liverpool have once again been busy in the transfer market with Arne Slot eyeing new players to bolster his ranks.

The Reds have been one of the most dominant forces in the transfer window this summer with the Merseyside outfit already spending close to £200million on reinforcements.

And, even though none of Slot’s first-team squad aside from Jarell Quansah and Caoimhin Kelleher have been sold yet, they’re still on the prowl for deals.

Here, Rousing the Kop have collected three of the biggest transfer stories to have emerged from Anfield on Wednesday, 23 July.

AC Milan have made ‘indirect contact’ with Federico Chiesa’s representatives

Federico Chiesa’s Liverpool future has been up in the air ever since the January transfer window.

The Italy international has been left out of Slot’s plans for some time now, with his transfer from Juventus failing to work out as everyone would have wanted.

And now, as per a new report from Caught Offside, it seems like AC Milan have now stepped up their interest, with the Serie A outfit making ‘indirect contact’ with Chiesa.

The attacker has long been linked with a return to Italy, but since his move to Napoli fell through, this is the first concrete move any team has made.

Luis Diaz has asked Liverpool to accept Bayern Munich’s next offer

Luis Diaz is another one of Liverpool’s players who seems to have been angling for an exit for some time now.

The attacker has attracted interest from both Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

And, while both have already had their initial bids rejected, it seems like Bayern have now asked Diaz to persuade Liverpool to accept their next offer.

However, if it’s below their asking price, it’s hard to see how and why they would even consider it, especially since Slot would prefer to keep him this summer.

Liverpool to target Ezri Konsa if Marc Guehi deal falls through

One of the main areas Slot needs to target before the 2025-26 Premier League season kicks off is centre-back.

As mentioned, Quansah has been sold to Bayer Leverkusen, so that means the Reds only have three senior centre-backs among their ranks.

Players such as Marc Guehi and Giovanni Leoni have been linked with an Anfield switch, but as per a new report from Galicia Press, the Reds are eyeing a move for Aston Villa’s Ezri Konsa.

Liverpool believe that a deal for the centre-back would be ‘cheaper’ than the one for Guehi, which would prove to be exceptional value, if they managed to pull it off.
